This is a vintage Japanese scarf that would have been used for wrapping a gift.  Wrapping gifts in fabric scarves is a Japanese tradition, and a nice one - not only do you get a gift, but a lovely scarf that you can use.  This piece is printed in a lovely pink color with graphics that look to me to be mountains filled with floral motifs.  The scarf measures 28” by 28 1/2” and is in excellent condition.  There is a label affixed to it that reads, in Japanese, 50% Silk, 50% Rayon.  The fabric has a crepe finish, like that seen on Japanese kimonos.
